Mary is the author and illustrator of The Alabama Angels,The Alabama Angels in Anywhere L.A., and The Alabama Angels Join FEMA and has also illustrated Letters to the Precious Group, Letters to the Candidate's Wife, Lambkins J. Flock, and Little Girls Have to Sleep Tonight. She paints in her kitchen, and considers herself a painter and author by the Grace of God. She says joyfully, "Life continues to be a surprise!"
