Barrett Bailey earned his MFA in 2004 from The New York Academy of Art. Since then he has come back to his hometown of Montgomery, AL to use its residents as his subjects. He is a contemporary figurative artist trained in traditional academic methods. His portraits tell a story that can only be felt.
